The Accounting Assistant provides day-to-day support to the Finance and Accounting Department by assisting in accurate recording, processing, and documentation of financial transactions. The Accounting Associate also coordinates with internal departments to address transaction-related concerns, clarify procedures, and support the timely resolution of accounting and finance-related issues while maintaining compliance with internal controls and governance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports and accounting records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Support accounts payable processes, including verification and documentation of expenses.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or issues requiring resolution.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting documentation and records.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders for accounting-related concerns.
- Support other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy (BS Accountancy)
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in a reputable accounting or auditing firm.
- Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply, preferably with a strong academic background or relevant internship exposure.
- Exposure to accounting operations and/or taxation is an advantage.
