Job Description

Accounting Assistant Manager | Travel & Tours Industry

Location: Makati City

Work Setup: On-site

Schedule: Monday to Friday

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Accounting Assistant Manager to support our finance operations within the travel and tours industry. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in a travel agency or travel management company who can manage technical accounting functions while supporting strategic finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations
Handle technical accounting tasks including:
Account reconciliations
Journal entries
Financial reporting
Manage foreign currency transactions and multi-country currency conversions
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Assist in BIR compliance, statutory filings, and reportorial requirements
Conduct financial analysis and benchmarking activities
Supervise and guide accounting staff when necessary
Recommend and implement process improvements within accounting operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
CPA license is an advantage but not required
Experience in a travel agency or travel management company is required
At least 3–5 years of accounting experience
Supervisory experience is preferred
Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
Experience handling multi-currency and foreign exchange transactions
Knowledgeable in BIR regulations and compliance
