Accounting Assistant - GREENHILLS SAN JUAN MANILA

Educational Background And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in BS Accountancy or BSBA major in Accounting or BSBA major in Accounting Technology.
  • Preferably between 2 to 10 years of experience in general accounting using spreadsheet (excel) and ERP computerized system (SAP or Oracle or QB).
  • If less than 2 years experiences, at least had On-the-Job Training (OJT) experience in a trading company using SAP B1 or in an auditing firm.

Core Accounting Competencies if has experiences

  • Exposure to any 3 of 6 areas: 1. Tax support (electronic filing of VAT, WT, Sales List Purchase List) 2. General Ledger and Reconciliation of records 3. Accounts Payable (AP) 4. Accounts Receivable (AR) 5. Warehouse Cost Accounting 6. Support to Financial Accounting.
  • Ability to prepare at least 2 of 4 general accounting reports (AR Aging report, AP Aging report, Fixed Assets Register, Accounting Worksheet).
  • Knowledge of journal entries, reconciliation, and unadjusted trial balance.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, Reconciliation templates)
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent accounting software
  • Competence in data encoding and document control

Soft Skills and Work Ethics

  • High level of accuracy and integrity on accounting standards (IFRS/PFRS)
  • Knows and applies the Golden Rules of Accounting in recording and analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a technology-driven accounting environment
  • Have sense of urgency on assigned tasks

Note: Fresh graduates who still lack competencies and experiences are also welcome to apply, provided they are willing to undergo 2 months apprenticeship prior to formal probationary employment. This will allow them to gain practical experience and demonstrate readiness for the role.
