Job Description

The Accounting Assistant provides clerical and operational support to the Accounting Department by assisting in the accurate recording of financial transactions related to property operations of Provalue Property Services Inc. The role supports day-to-day accounting functions such as billing, collections, payables, and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording daily financial transactions, including rental income, service charges, utilities, and other property-related revenues.
  • Support the preparation and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in billing tenants, clients, and service providers accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and assist in collection follow-ups.
  • Maintain accounting records for multiple properties and managed accounts.
  • Assist in reconciling tenant ledgers, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Track expenses related to property maintenance, repairs, utilities, and vendor services.
  • File, organize, and maintain accounting documents such as invoices, official receipts, vouchers, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents for internal reviews and audits.
  • Assist in preparing financial schedules and reports required by management, property owners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly accounting reports and summaries.
  • Maintain petty cash records and assist in reimbursements and cash disbursements.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience; experience in property management or hospitality-related companies is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting or property management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a property services and hospitality-affiliated environment.
