Job Description

Job Title: Accounting and Inventory Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting and Inventory Assistant to support daily financial operations, stock management tasks, payroll input, and general admin duties. This role requires someone experienced in accounting workflows, stock movement reporting, and who can work independently with accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Prepare and send invoices, including conversion and approval processing

Follow up on outstanding payments

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting

Generate financial, sales, and client reports (including area-based reports)

Support with BAS preparation (data collation and accuracy checks)

Maintain digital financial records and files

Manage weekly payroll inputs

Handle stock-related accounting including movement of stock, monthly stock reports, and stock entry

Use jewellery stock management software (JEMs) for importing, generating codes, and updating descriptions

Process data entry tasks with high accuracy

Manage accounting inbox and coordinate documentation

Support general admin and back-office tasks as needed

Maintain updated records in accounting and stock systems

Required Experience and Skills

With a strong background in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance admin

Good working knowledge of Xero

Experience with stock management and stock-related accounting tasks

Familiarity with jewellery management software (Jems) or willingness to learn

Strong Excel and Word skills

Experience generating financial reports, sales reports, and client-based reports

Ability to work independently and manage full-day tasks on autopilot

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and time management skills

Work Schedule

Full-time

8 hours per day, 9am to 5pm AEDT (with flexibility to match business needs if required)
