Job Description

Arden Consult is the Philippines premier emerging tech–focused consulting firm, trusted by leading international clients at the intersection of business and technology. Our team of lawyers and strategists advises some of the world's most important technology and gaming companies on high-stakes projects across crypto, fintech, and gaming.

We are building our finance and accounting function from the ground up, and we need a sharp, hands-on accounting manager to be the engine room of that effort. Working directly under our Finance Director, you'll own the day-to-day mechanics of accounting across our Philippine and Singapore entities — the reconciliations, the filings, the books, the payments — and do them cleanly, on time, every time. This is a role for someone early in their career who wants to learn how a real multi-jurisdiction finance function gets built, not just maintained.

You might be a good fit if...

  • You're low-ego and high-ownership. You'd rather chase down the missing receipt yourself than escalate it, and you take it personally when the books don't tie out.
  • You're a licensed CPA with a strong foundation from a top university, and you want a role where that foundation actually gets tested.
  • You're meticulous to the point that other people trust your numbers without re-checking them.
  • You like getting things right and getting them done — you don't need to be chased, and you don't leave loose ends.
  • You're comfortable in a fast-paced, lean environment where the playbook is still being written, and you're happy to write parts of it.
  • You pick up new software quickly and would rather automate a tedious task than do it manually a second time.

What you'll do

  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and journal entries across Arden's Philippine and Singapore entities, keeping the books accurate and current.
  • Perform bank, payment, and account reconciliations on a regular cadence, flagging and resolving discrepancies.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable — vendor payments, client invoicing, expense reimbursements, and collections follow-up.
  • Support payroll processing and statutory filings (BIR, IRAS) under the Finance Director's direction, including preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain and operate the firm's financial tech stack day-to-day, including cloud accounting (Xero) and cross-border payment tools (Airwallex, Wise).
  • Prepare supporting workpapers and schedules for month-end close, audits, and management reporting.
  • Help build and document clean, repeatable finance workflows and controls as the function matures.
  • Keep records, filings, and documentation organized and audit-ready.

What we're looking for

  • Licensed CPA; degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field from a top-tier Philippine university.
  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
  • Solid working knowledge of Philippine tax and accounting regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through — you close loops.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks without being micromanaged.
  • A proactive, low-ego, high-ownership attitude: you do what the work requires.

Nice to Have

  • Big Four experience (audit or tax).
  • Exposure to a high-growth startup or technology environment.
  • Familiarity with Xero and modern fintech tools (Airwallex, Wise, etc.).
  • Experience with multi-currency or cross-border transactions.
  • Exposure to the gaming, technology, or professional services industries.
  • Interest in process automation and using AI tools for financial operations.
