Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Metro Manila, Philippines

About the Company

Our client is a leading global renewable energy company with a strong presence across solar power, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and clean energy infrastructure. Due to continued expansion in the Philippines, they are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to support their growing finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify accounting documents, invoices, and supporting records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and record accounting transactions, maintain general ledger accounts, and ensure proper financial documentation.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including preparation of financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns while ensuring compliance with Philippine tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor tax-related risks and coordinate with external tax consultants and advisors when required.
  • Support external audits, financial due diligence exercises, and compliance reviews by preparing schedules and relevant documentation.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders on finance-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA qualification preferred; ACCA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 6 years of accounting and finance experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounting functions.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and Philippine tax regulations.
  • Experience in audit coordination, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and international environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
