We are seeking an advanced, detail-driven Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations across a multi-entity group of US companies. You will manage accrual accounting, complex 3-way sales commission reconciliations, intercompany balances, and multi-entity payroll processing while leveraging AI tools and advanced Excel models to streamline workflow efficiencies.

Your Impact

• Multi-Entity General Ledger & Accruals: Oversee full-cycle accrual accounting for 7 entities (4 Insurance, 2 Utility Concierge, 1 Investment); maintain balance sheet supporting schedules, execute intercompany AP/AR reconciliations, and handle 1099 filings and sales tax preparation.
• Insurance & Sales Commission Accounting: Process carrier commission statements in EZLynx, manage mailed check receipts, validate producer/sales agent commission calculations, and seamlessly integrate commission payouts into payroll processing.
• Payroll & Software Workflow Operations: Execute payroll across all entities, perform complete payroll reconciliations, manage bill payments via BILL, and track workflows using QuickBooks Online, Fathom, and Karbon.
• AI & Process Optimization: Leverage AI tools (such as Claude and native AI features) to drive accounting efficiencies, automate 3-way reconciliations, refine spreadsheet models, and maintain clear SOP documentation.

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) with strong end-to-end accounting experience supporting US business entities.
• Excel & AI Mastery: Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, large dataset manipulation); hands-on interest or experience using AI platforms (e.g., Claude) to optimize reconciliation workflows.
• Preferred Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of US GAAP, book-to-tax adjustments, business tax return reconciliations, sales commission payroll structures, and multi-entity intercompany clearing.
• Software Competency: Proficiency across QuickBooks Online, BILL, EZLynx, Fathom, and Karbon (or similar accounting CRM and practice management platforms).
• Core Competencies: Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills, confident leadership/review capabilities, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
