ABOUT THE ROLE

Immediate requirement of the role is to support the expanded accounting responsibilities of the Manila team to service wider entities of the Group and its subsidiaries. Primary responsibility is to support the Reviewer in executing and delivering KPI's based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the transactional accounting and end-to-end financial reporting preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting Process Owners: accountability on all the processing required ensuring adherence to standard process/es, policies, and guidelines for the following:

• Preparing and processing month end work and other reporting deliverables.

• Complete balance sheet reconciliation and ensure balances are legitimate and properly supported.

• Maintain fixed asset register, prepayments and monthly journals. Ensure all expenses and revenues are accounted within the reporting period.

• Manage intercompany transactions for all entities assigned.

• Preparation of working papers for tax lodgments and regulatory requirements.

• Working and delivering against Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines.

Process improvement/Change Management:

• Propose better ways of doing existing processes/Refine standardized processes for each area of service offered, e.g. trust account/bank reconciliation, month end accounts, AFSL financial compliance, budgets, etc.

• Document processes in accordance with standardized documentation requirements.

• Adherence and/or implementation of the standard operating procedures.

• Regular update of policy documents, checklists, templates, and procedures to enhance compliance and reduce operational risk.

ABOUT YOU

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES / EXPERIENCE

• The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years experience gained in professional services accounting environment. Previous experience as an accounting staff or in Client Servicing will be an advantage. CPA/CMA qualified is preferred.

•Degree in BS Accountancy or BS Management Accounting is required.

• High attention to detail.

• Effectively work with team and others to meet timelines, objectives and KPIs.

• Eager to take full responsibility for tasks assigned.

• Good interpersonal and time management skills – liaison with onshore counterparts, internal and external stakeholders.

• Very good written and verbal English communication skills, advance skills in reading comprehension and simple analysis of documents.

• Highly motivated and honest, flexible, pro-active and driven, ability to multi task, requires minimum supervision and adaptable to change at a fast-paced environment.

•Analytical and accurate, organized; critical/analytical/problem solving skills are must-haves.

•Able to execute sets of agreed processes to ensure efficient, timely and accurate information delivery; experience in analyzing ad-hoc issues.

• Strong accounting standards knowledge and professional ethics a must; familiarity with Australia Tax laws & regulations and experience with Australian payroll function will be an advantage.

• Competent in Microsoft Office, basic MS Excel skills required; SAP ByDesign experience will be an edge.
