Accountant to join our team
full-time and

Your Role as an Accountant
As an
Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and maintaining the smooth operation of finance activities. Youll manage accounts receivable and payable processes, complete reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting and cash flow monitoring. Your work will help ensure financial accuracy while supporting strong operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Officer
- Process customer invoices and perform accurate data entry
- Record customer payments, including electronic and cheque payments
- Assist external clients with account-related enquiries
- Monitor and report on outstanding debtors
- Conduct first-level collections for overdue accounts
Accounts Payable Officer
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare weekly payment files and ad-hoc payments when required
- Perform reconciliations for CityLink, fuel, and telecommunications accounts
- Complete monthly supplier reconciliations
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Reconcile all company bank accounts
- Reconcile and process payments for company credit cards
Finance Support
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end reporting
- Support the preparation of cash flow reports and forecasting
- Provide support with finance-related tasks and projects as required
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within a small to medium-sized business
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software is essential
- Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy
- Excellent time management and ability to meet reporting deadlines
- Strong communication skills when working with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholders
