We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to deliver high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory services for a diverse range of business clients. You will work closely with senior team members and managers to handle end-to-end compliance, prepare multi-entity financial statements and activity statements, and support strategic business advisory projects.
Your Impact
- Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance: Prepare accurate financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs, where applicable).
- Activity Statements & Payroll: Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and payroll-related compliance filings while assisting with year-end close processes.
- Client Engagement & Software Support: Serve as a responsive contact for day-to-day client inquiries, gather engagement documentation, and support clients with accounting software and bookkeeping workflows.
- Advisory & Financial Analysis: Assist senior accountants with business advisory tasks by preparing management reports, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Team Collaboration & Practice Growth: Participate in firm training, collaborate across international delivery teams, and share knowledge to maintain a high-performing, professional work culture.
What You Bring
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline; active CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards completion).
- The Experience:1 to 4 years of solid experience within an Australian public practice or professional accounting firm.
- Australian Tax Knowledge: Sound understanding of Australian accounting standards, GST/BAS rules, and taxation principles across various entity structures
- Software Competency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and the ability to adapt quickly to cloud accounting and practice management software
- Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, high integrity, and exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
