Qualifications
- 3+ years of Australian Public Practice / AU Tax Accounting experience
- Strong experience in AU financial statements, workpapers, and income tax returns
- Solid knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance
- Experience handling SME to mid-market accounting clients with AUD 5M-100M+ turnover
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Australian tax compliance workpapers, financial statements, and lodgments for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Handle BAS, income tax, FBT, GST, CGT, and PAYG compliance requirements
- Apply ATO policies, Australian tax legislation, and tax risk frameworks across client engagements
- Manage client compliance queries independently or with senior guidance when required
- Use Australian tax platforms including Xero Tax, HandiTax, CCH iFirm, and APS to deliver accurate and efficient tax compliance work
