The Opportunity at a Glance

Join a growing Australian public practice accounting firm delivering tax, compliance, and advisory services across individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships. This is a high-impact role where you'll take ownership of end-to-end accounting and compliance work, working directly with clients and contributing immediately with minimal onboarding.


The business is scaling, and this role is designed for someone who can hit the ground running, manage workload independently, and grow into a leadership position over time.


 


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types

  • Handle BAS, IAS, and FBT preparation and lodgment

  • Prepare accurate workpapers and supporting documentation for review

  • Manage client files from start to finish, including gathering missing information

  • Perform bookkeeping and maintain clean financial records

  • Liaise directly with clients via email and phone

  • Coordinate with bookkeepers and internal stakeholders

  • Ensure all work is accurate, compliant, and ready for final review

  • Support tax planning and provide basic financial insights where required


 

What We're Looking For - You're the Perfect Fit if You:

(Non-negotiable requirements)



  • Are based in the Philippines

  • Are a graduate of Accounting or Finance (strict requirement)

  • Have Australian public practice accounting experience (MANDATORY)

  • Have strong hands-on experience preparing:

    • Financial statements

    • Tax returns across multiple entity types

    • BAS, IAS, and FBT



  • Are proficient in:

    • Xero (including Xero Practice Manager - Xero PM) (MANDATORY)

    • ATO systems



  • Can work independently with minimal supervision

  • Are confident handling client communication (email and phone)

  • Can manage workload and hit the ground running with minimal training


 

What Sets You Apart - You'll Shine Even Brighter With:

  • Experience handling complex tax matters (CGT, Div 7A, etc.)

  • Exposure to multiple industries and client portfolios

  • Experience using structured workpaper systems (e.g. Business Fitness)

  • Experience in client advisory or explaining financials to clients

  • Leadership potential and interest in growing into a senior/manager role


 

Work Schedule & Employment Terms

  • Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PHT

  • Remote work setup

  • Open to PH-based applicants only

  • Philippine-based employment only
