Account Officer

Job Summary:

Account Officer will be responsible for introducing and offering power supply to Contestable Customers, other RES (Retail Electricity Suppliers), and Directly Connected Customers by identifying leads, educating prospects on the industry through calls, meetings, and initial presentations, and providing quality customer support to ensure smooth transactions and excellent service delivery. The role includes assisting in closing contracts under the full guidance of the Sales Supervisor, as well as performing daily sales tasks with some supervision including switch requirement preparation and various supply-related simulations. The RES Account Officer is expected to develop a strong understanding of industry principles, processes, and procedures to effectively navigate the competitive electricity market through their own initiative and the guidance of the Sales Supervisor. As a frontline representative of the business, they also promote SMGP values and brand management in all company engagements, interactions with external stakeholders, and participation in CSR projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Introduce company to potential customers and present company profile and Standard offer sheet details
• Develop a strong understanding of market updates and ensure maximization of market opportunities
• Liaising and coordinating with other departments
• Gathering information and identifying market trends through market research and customer feedback
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, and/or marketing or Business Administration.
• At least 1 year of working experience, preferably in the Electrical Power Industry
• Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare detailed reports
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Preferably can speak and understand Mandarin
• Frequent travels, willing to drive
