Job Purpose
To perform tasks necessary to establish relationship with new and existing brokers; solicit new business from assigned brokers and meet assigned production targets as agreed with immediate superior; service existing property accounts with assigned brokers; assist immediate superior in collecting outstanding accounts; evaluate Property Insurance applications from assigned brokers prior to endorsing to department head; prepare property proposals to assigned brokers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Solicitation of New Accounts/Business and Accounts Development. Identifies new brokers and establishes relationship with them; Solicits new accounts both new and existing brokers.
- Accounts Management and Servicing. Solicits new business from existing brokers; services existing accounts of assigned brokers; gathers market information from assigned brokers through the Client Call Report. Entertains valued brokers from time to time in accordance with prescribed policy. Monitors quotations and accounts of assigned brokers; evaluates viability of Property insurance applied for by assigned brokers within underwriting guidelines prior to endorsing application to underwriter.
- Collection. Assists in reconciling accounts of assigned broker with Collection Department; monitors and follows up collection of outstanding accounts of assigned brokers and coordinates with Collection Department and concerned Line Heads.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree.
- Preferably with 2 years experience in non-life insurance sales
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales target
- Proficient in MS Office (word, excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- With excellent English communication skills both oral and written.
- With excellent attention to details.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
