Job Description

The Account Officer is responsible for driving housing loan sales and achieving business targets through account acquisition, partner channel management, and relationship building. The role oversees the end-to-end housing loan process, including client consultation, loan application screening, credit endorsement, account processing, and loan booking. The incumbent ensures excellent customer service, maintains portfolio quality, monitors documentary compliance, and implements strategies to expand business opportunities while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Drives housing loan sales and achieves assigned business, volume, and revenue targets.
  • Generates new business opportunities through client acquisition, referrals, and accredited sales channels.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, developers, brokers, and business partners.
  • Manages the end-to-end housing loan process, from application screening and credit endorsement to loan booking and release.
  • Provides clients with appropriate housing loan solutions and ensures excellent customer service throughout the loan journey.
  • Monitors loan portfolio quality, documentary compliance, and account conversion to booking.
  • Ensures adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implements initiatives and process improvements that support operational efficiency and business growth.
  • Coaches and develops team members to promote accountability, professionalism, and high performance (for supervisory roles).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or any related field.
  • Experience in housing loans, mortgage lending, consumer lending, or banking operations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lending products, credit evaluation, and banking processes.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented.
  • Completion of relevant banking training programs (e.g., OTP, LODP) is an advantage.
