Job Description

Account Director / Account Manager

Position Summary

The Account Director / Account Manager plays a critical role in driving the growth and sustainability of Socium's client portfolio. This individual will be responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with existing clients, identifying and developing new hiring opportunities within established accounts, and reactivating dormant clients to maximize business potential.

The role is primarily focused on account retention, account expansion, and revenue generation from existing partnerships, while also contributing to lead generation and strategic new client acquisition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Build trusted, long-term partnerships with hiring managers, HR leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular client engagement activities, including business reviews, market updates, and workforce planning discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with recruitment teams to ensure successful execution of hiring requirements and achievement of agreed service standards.

Account Growth and Development

  • Proactively identify and secure new recruitment opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Develop account growth strategies to increase penetration across departments, business units, and geographical locations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of clients organizational structures, business priorities, and talent challenges to anticipate future hiring needs.
  • Drive revenue growth by maximizing opportunities within assigned accounts.

Dormant Account Reactivation

  • Identify inactive or underutilized accounts within Socium's client portfolio.
  • Develop and execute targeted re-engagement strategies to revive dormant relationships.
  • Re-establish Socium as a preferred recruitment partner through consultative engagement and value-driven conversations.
  • Convert reactivated accounts into active, revenue-generating partnerships.

Business Development Support

  • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, market intelligence, and existing client relationships.
  • Identify prospective clients that align with Socium's strategic growth objectives.
  • Support the leadership team in business development initiatives and client presentations when required.
  • Contribute to new client acquisition efforts while maintaining primary focus on existing account growth.

Internal Collaboration and Operational Excellence

  • Partner effectively with recruitment consultants to ensure a seamless client experience from job qualification through placement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, opportunities, and activities within Bullhorn and other internal systems.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, account forecasts, and activity reports to leadership.
  • Champion compliance with internal processes and uphold Socium's standards of professionalism and service excellence.

Success Measures (KPIs)

The Account Director / Account Manager will be evaluated based on:

  • Revenue generated from existing accounts
  • Number and value of new vacancies secured from current clients
  • Client retention and account growth rates
  • Number of dormant accounts successfully reactivated
  • Client satisfaction and relationship strength
  • Qualified leads and contribution to new client acquisition

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in recruitment, staffing, account management, or business development.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts within the recruitment industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing long-term client partnerships and generating repeat business.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
