Job Description

As an Account Manager - Marketplaces, you will drive sales growth, optimize product listings, and manage day-to-day operations across ecommerce platforms like Amazon and Walmart. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve visibility, conversion, and overall marketplace performance.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing eCommerce marketplace accounts such as Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Vendor Central, and Walmart Marketplace, with a proven track record of growing revenue and optimizing account performance
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce platforms, digital merchandising, online marketing, and marketplace growth strategies
  • Experience using AI-powered marketplace and keyword tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Perpetua, and generative AI platforms like ChatGPT, Jasper, or Copy.ai to improve rankings, automate workflows, optimize listings, and scale testing
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, marketplace reporting tools, and preferably BI platforms like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau for dashboarding and insights
  • Familiarity with AI-driven reporting, sentiment analysis, workflow automation, and LLM-powered business reviews to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and project management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly, take initiative, solve problems proactively, collaborate cross-functionally, interpret data to mitigate risks, and consistently deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced growth environment
  • Committed to continuous learning, organizational improvement, and building strong, trusted relationships across teams

Your Daily Tasks

Marketplace Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute marketplace growth strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets, while monitoring competitor activity and marketplace trends to identify new opportunities
  • Partner with marketing teams to execute paid search, sponsored product, and promotional campaigns that increase visibility and sales

Account & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for marketplace partners and platform representatives, managing business planning, negotiations, performance tracking, and strategic relationships to strengthen brand visibility and merchandising opportunities

Product Content & Optimization

  • Oversee SEO-optimized listings, including titles, bullet points, images, A+ content, and brand store enhancements, while ensuring catalog accuracy, variation management, and continuous detail page optimization
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop brand-aligned visuals, videos, enhanced content, and strengthen brand protection through registry, IP enforcement, and reviews strategy

Inventory, Pricing & Operations

  • Partner with supply chain, inventory, operations, and fulfillment teams to forecast demand, manage stock levels, optimize fulfillment methods, execute promotions, and maintain competitive pricing, while ensuring compliance with marketplace requirements and seamless order fulfillment

Analytics & Reporting

  • Use marketplace analytics tools such as Amazon Business Reports, Helium 10, Pacvue, and Sellerboard to track KPIs, report on sales and conversion performance, identify risks, and translate insights into actionable growth strategies

Success Metrics

  • Achieve 10-20% YoY revenue growth, with 5-10% uplift on managed SKUs within 90 days of optimization
  • Improve contribution margins by 200-400 bps through pricing, product mix, and promotional strategy
  • Increase conversion rates by 10-15% through optimized content, pricing, and PDP enhancements
  • Maintain 95%+ Buy Box ownership across priority revenue-driving SKUs
  • Ensure 90%+ of revenue comes from fully optimized listings, with less than 2% suppressed or incomplete listings
