The opportunity
We're MiQ, a global programmatic media partner for marketers and agencies. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so you will be too. No matter the role or the location, we're all united in the vision to lead the programmatic industry and make it better.
As an Account Management Lead within the Center of Success (CoS), you play a critical role in how we run and grow accounts across JAPAC. You'll lead and develop a team of Account Managers and Coordinators while also owning a portfolio of strategic accounts yourself. You'll work cross‑functionally with Sales, Trading, DnA, Product, L&D and Marketing to deliver best‑in‑class client service, protect and grow revenue, and continually improve how we operate as a regional hub.
This is a high‑visibility leadership role with plenty of scope to shape the Account Management craft in CoS and influence how we support markets across JAPAC.
What you'll be doing
Your main responsibilities will include:
Team leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers and Account Coordinators, ensuring they are engaged, motivated and clear on expectations.
- Set team‑level goals, rhythms and standards for client service, campaign delivery and insight.
- Balance workload and patch distribution so priority accounts receive the right coverage and attention.
- Run regular 1:1s, feedback and performance check‑ins, supporting progression through MiQ's career framework.
- Act as a trusted escalation point for client or internal issues, helping the team navigate complexity under pressure.
- Champion wellbeing, inclusion and collaboration, modelling MiQ values day‑to‑day.
Client Service & Account Leadership
- Own a portfolio of strategic accounts, acting as senior point of contact for key stakeholders across JAPAC.
- Ensure your team delivers reliable, friendly and solution‑oriented service, with SLAs met and campaign operations running smoothly.
- Guide Account Managers on meeting rhythms (status, QBRs, WIPs) and client entertainment that deepen relationships and unlock growth.
- Translate client and stakeholder needs into clear actions and opportunities, balancing what's right for clients with what's right for MiQ and CoS.
- Step in on complex or sensitive conversations (performance issues, scope changes, escalations) to protect relationships and revenue.
Campaign delivery, insight & quality
- Oversee the end‑to‑end campaign lifecycle across your team's patch – from pre‑campaign planning through to post‑campaign insights and re‑booking.
- Ensure briefs, IOs and pre‑campaign documentation are accurate, feasible and aligned to client goals and MiQ best practice.
- Partner with Trading and DnA to ensure campaign setup, reporting and pacing are robust and focused on the KPIs that matter.
- Drive high standards for insight‑led reporting – turning data into clear narratives, recommendations and next steps.
- Support investigation and resolution of invoice queries and operational issues with Finance, Operations and Ad Ops.
Key account growth & planning
- Partner with in‑market Sales and Trading to protect and grow revenue via smart upsell, cross‑sell and upweight opportunities.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of Account Plans that track revenue, risk, opportunities and strategic bets for key accounts.
- Co‑own QBR planning and storytelling, ensuring a clear, compelling and consistent narrative that ladders up to MiQ and CoS priorities.
- Provide the CoS / Hub Operations Lead with sharp, regular views on performance, growth expectations and risks for priority accounts.
- Share key growth trends, client themes and pipeline signals that inform hub resourcing, planning and focus.
Strategy, influence & CoS projects
- Use MiQ and client data to shape strategies that solve real client problems and build brands, not just hit channel metrics.
- Re‑prioritise accounts, focus areas and team effort as new information comes in, without losing sight of the bigger JAPAC and CoS picture.
- Represent the voice of Account Management in CoS forums, influencing how we design processes, tools and initiatives that impact client delivery.
- Partner with the CoS / Hub Operations Lead on special projects (e.g. process improvements, new product rollouts, internal playbooks, onboarding content).
- Help standardise and embed best practice for planning, QBRs, insight delivery and account hygiene (e.g. Salesforce, MiQ Drive) across the region.
- Support change‑management and communication for new CoS / Operations initiatives so stakeholders understand what's changing, why and by when.
Innovation & continuous improvement
- Encourage your team to test, document and share new ways of working, fostering a culture of innovation in Account Management.
- Partner with Trading, Sales, DnA and Product to pilot and scale new approaches that improve performance, efficiency or client outcomes.
- Spot patterns across campaigns and accounts and turn them into repeatable frameworks and playbooks.
- Model a learning‑oriented mindset – stay curious, seek feedback and share what works (and what doesn't).
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant client‑facing experience in digital media, ideally 5+ years in media/programmatic/ad tech, with strong exposure to Account Management and/or Client Services.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring Account Managers or client‑facing teams and managing performance, workload and development plans.
- Deep understanding of campaign operations and account management workflows, with the ability to connect strategy, delivery and insight end‑to‑end.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail; comfortable juggling multiple priorities, markets and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across levels, functions and cultures; able to influence without formal authority.
- An independent, proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset – you use data and insight to make recommendations and move decisions forward.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, adjusting plans based on new information while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
- Strong alignment with MiQ's values and culture, and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing, globally connected team.
- A can‑do, self‑starter attitude that brings energy, drive and enthusiasm – for your own work and for the people you lead.
