Reporting To : Acquisition Lead (solid line) with matrix to Customer Experience

About Abbott Core Diagnostics

Abbott Core Diagnostics enables laboratories and healthcare providers with innovative diagnostic solutions that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. We are seeking a commercially driven Account Executive to grow our presence across the Visayas region.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid commercial role (50% acquisition / 50% account management) responsible for expanding Abbott's footprint while strengthening partnerships with existing laboratory and healthcare customers.

The role combines solution-based selling, technical consultation, and customer experience ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development (Acquisition)

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within hospitals, laboratories, and diagnostic centers
  • Execute strategic territory planning to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Build a robust sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts
  • Position Abbott's Core Diagnostics portfolio through value-based selling

Account Management (Customer Experience)

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction, retention, and upselling opportunities
  • Act as primary commercial contact for assigned customers
  • Partner with service, applications, and technical teams to deliver seamless customer experience

Technical & Consultative Selling

  • Present technical product solutions, configurations, and clinical value propositions
  • Understand customer laboratory workflows and align Abbott offerings accordingly
  • Conduct product demos, presentations, and commercial discussions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, applications, service teams)

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends in diagnostics/IVD
  • Identify new applications and opportunities to expand product utilization
  • Provide strategic insights to leadership on market conditions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, Business, or related field
  • Proven sales experience in IVD, diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare solutions
  • Strong track record in both acquisition and account management
  • Experience working with hospital and laboratory stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Preferred Profile

  • Candidates from competitor diagnostics or IVD companies
  • Strong network within Visayas healthcare market
  • Ability to navigate technical and commercial discussions confidently
