Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional with 3-5 years of experience to manage financial operations with focus on import transactions, consulting services transactions, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Import & International Transactions

  • Process import transactions and customs documentation
  • Handle foreign currency transactions
  • Apply Incoterms in cost calculations
  • Manage offshore VAT and cross-border tax requirements
  • Reconcile import duties and customs charges
  • Good understanding and control of transactions between manufacturers, freight forwarders, local distributors

Tax Compliance

  • Calculate and process withholding taxes and any other taxes
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax returns (SPT)
  • Handle tax audits and authority correspondence
  • Ensure transfer pricing documentation compliance

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
  • Develop and maintain statutory reports for regulatory bodies
  • Create and maintain analytical reports (variance analysis, profitability, cash flow)
  • Support statutory reporting, budget preparation, consolidation reporting

Core Accounting

  • Maintain general ledger and journal entries
  • Perform bank reconciliations (multi-currency)
  • Manage AP/AR processes and intercompany transactions
  • Oversee fixed assets register and inventory valuation
  • Coordinate with external auditors

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 3-5 years progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with import/export transactions
  • Solid knowledge of Philippines tax regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Fluent in English
