Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Academy Chancellor leads the overall strategy, governance, and performance of the Academy across four core pillars: Facilities, Faculty, Training & Content, and Learning Management System (LMS).

The role ensures that the Academy operates as one integrated learning system that delivers consistent, high-quality, scalable, and measurable learning aligned with organizational goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Academy Strategy & Governance - Set the Academy's vision, annual learning strategy, priorities, policies, calendar, budget, and performance measures, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Establish standards for attendance, certification, trainer accreditation, content ownership, and learning quality, and report Academy effectiveness, learning outcomes, and business impact to senior leadership.
  2. Facilities & Academy Operations - Oversee classrooms, simulation areas, computer labs, AV equipment, and learner facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, properly utilized, and fit for purpose. Manage facility scheduling, logistics, budgets, equipment, vendors, compliance, and future infrastructure requirements, including satellite training spaces and virtual learning capabilities.
  3. Faculty Management & Development - Build and manage the Academy's faculty and trainer network, including full-time trainers, subject-matter experts, adjunct faculty, and external partners. Set standards for recruitment, onboarding, deployment, performance, certification, coaching, and career development, and lead the Train-the-Trainer Program to ensure trainers meet required facilitation and learning standards.
  4. Training, Curriculum & Content - Lead training needs and capability assessments with business leaders and own the Academy's curriculum and learning pathways across onboarding, technical, functional, customer service, compliance, supervisory, leadership, and trainer development. Oversee instructional design, training materials, e-learning, assessments, content standards, version control, and learning effectiveness to ensure programs are relevant, consistent, and business-focused.
  5. Learning Management System & Technology - Lead the LMS selection, implementation, enhancement, and adoption, ensuring it supports learning catalogs, enrollment, scheduling, learning paths, certifications, attendance, reporting, and blended learning. Oversee LMS administration, content management, HRIS integration, user support, dashboards, and learning analytics while ensuring data accuracy, security, and privacy compliance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Hospitality Management, HR, Psychology, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 15 years in Learning & Development, corporate academy, hospitality education, or large-scale training.
  • Experience managing faculty/trainers, curriculum, facilities, and LMS.
  • Strong exposure to multi-site, multi-brand, fast-paced operations, preferably QSR, hospitality, retail, FMCG, or a major corporate academy.
  • Experience building or transforming an academy/training function, not just administering training.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and program governance experience.
