What is the job

The A/R Follow-Up Specialist (Healthcare) is responsible in conducting proactive payer outreach to verify appeal status, confirm payments, and capture denial intelligence within U.S. healthcare revenue cycle operations. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely escalation of urgent cases, and compliance with payer and HIPAA standards.

Conducts outbound calls to U.S. insurance payers to verify claim and appeal status.

Navigates payer IVR systems and portals.

Confirms appeal receipt, review stage, and decision status.

Verifies patient details, DOS, claim number, appeal submission date, and appeal level.

Obtains payer representative name and call reference numbers.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years of U.S. healthcare revenue cycle experience in AR follow-up or insurance follow-up.

Experience conducting high-volume outbound calls to U.S. insurance payers (20+ calls per day).
