Key Responsibilities
- Design, model, texture, and optimize 3D assets (characters, props, environments, vehicles, etc.) for in-game use.
- Collaborate with game designers and concept artists to translate 2D concepts into high-quality 3D assets.
- Ensure that all models are optimized for performance on mobile and other platforms.
- Create UV maps, materials, and textures that are efficient and visually consistent.
- Work with animators and riggers to ensure assets are ready for animation and gameplay.
- Maintain consistent art style across all 3D content while adhering to technical limitations.
- Assist in lighting, rendering, and presentation of assets for promotional or in-game use.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques in 3D game art production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, Game Design, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or ZBrush.
- Experience with texturing tools such as Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, or similar.
- Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine workflows for importing and optimizing assets.
- Solid understanding of form, scale, anatomy, and proportions.
- Knowledge of PBR workflows and real-time rendering techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take feedback constructively.
Preferred
- Experience in rigging and skinning 3D characters.
- Basic knowledge of animation principles and motion pipelines.
- Experience in creating VFX or particle effects.
- Familiarity with mobile optimization techniques for 3D assets.
- Knowledge of procedural generation tools (Houdini, etc.).
