Position Title: 3D Architectural Draftsman

Quick Rundown:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically skilled 3D Architectural Draftsman / 3D Artist to support our transition to ArchiCAD. This role combines drafting and 3D visualization responsibilities to produce accurate architectural drawings, renders, and floor plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and proven experience in ArchiCAD, with the ability to independently check and ensure accuracy of all outputs..
What You'll Do:
- Participates in design and other collaboration meetings
- Performs quality checking of drawings produced to comply with firm's quality standards
- Performs due diligence on safety and building codes and standards
- Generates solutions to conflicts in drawing details by searching and gathering information, participating in meetings or consulting immediate superior
- Assists in the preparation of schedule of materials and finishes and preparation of specifications and other related documents
- Develop and produce accurate architectural drawings using ArchiCAD, ensuring alignment with construction requirements and design specifications.
- Create 3D models, renderings, and colored floor plans to support project visualization and client presentation.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, consistent, and error-free, including self-checking of outputs prior to submission.
- Apply strong construction knowledge to identify and correct design inconsistencies (e.g., layout misalignments, incorrect placements, structural inaccuracies).
- Work with the ArchiCAD system to ensure automatic updates across plans, minimizing manual errors and rework.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design intent is properly translated into technical drawings.
- Support the company's transition from AutoCAD to ArchiCAD by adopting best practices and improving workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accountability for quality, deadlines, and project ownership
What We're Looking For:
- Attention to Details
- With a proven residential design portfolio
- Ability to foster innovation in design, construction technology and sustainable design
- Excellent organizational, time management, project planning, writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of various BIM, design and presentation software, ArchiCAD is preferred
- Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop
- A fundamental understanding of building codes and various construction types resulting in well-thought-out details
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and jurisdictions
- Proficiency in Autocad, Sketchup + Vray, 3D Vista, Photoshop, Archicad and Microsoft Suite
