Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented and creative 2D Animator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring characters, environments, and stories to life through engaging and visually compelling animation. You will collaborate with our creative directors, illustrators, and production team to develop high-quality animated content for projects ranging from digital media, marketing campaigns, and entertainment to interactive experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Create high-quality 2D animations for characters, environments, and effects in alignment with project requirements and brand style guidelines.
- Collaborate with designers, storyboard artists, and creative directors to conceptualize and refine animation sequences.
- Develop storyboards, animatics, and motion tests to visualize ideas before final production.
- Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Animate, After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, etc.) to produce polished animations.
- Apply strong timing, spacing, and movement principles to achieve fluid, natural animation.
- Edit and refine animations based on team feedback while meeting deadlines.
- Stay updated on the latest animation techniques, styles, and tools to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Ensure that all animated content is optimized for various platforms (web, social media, broadcast, etc.).
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Animation, Digital Arts, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a 2D Animator with a strong portfolio or demo reel.
- Proficiency with animation and design software such as Adobe Animate, After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of the principles of animation, character design, and storytelling.
- Ability to adapt animation styles to match different projects and brand identities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to take direction and constructive feedback.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)- Experience in video editing and compositing.
- Knowledge of sound design and integrating audio with visuals.
- Familiarity with 3D animation software or motion graphics.
- Experience working in a production pipeline for games, film, or digital media.
