We're hiring a Business Development Representative to be a key driver of magentIQ's growth, generating and qualifying new business opportunities through intelligent, multi-channel outbound. This is not a closing role or a scripted call-center position—you'll engage senior operational leaders, spark meaningful conversations, uncover business challenges, and create high-quality pipeline for our Account Executives.

Role Summary

As the Business Development Representative, you'll own the early stages of the sales process by researching target accounts, engaging VP-level and director-level decision-makers, qualifying prospects against magentIQ's ideal customer profile, and booking qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives. You'll use email, LinkedIn, phone, video, CRM, and AI-enabled sales tools to personalize outreach, uncover workflow and automation pain points, handle objections, and build a strong, well-documented pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Run structured, multi-channel outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, phone, and video using well-crafted sequences.
Research target accounts and contacts using HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and other sales intelligence tools.
Personalize outreach to senior operational leaders, including VP-level and director-level decision-makers.
Qualify prospects against magentIQ's ideal customer profile (ICP), including firmographic fit, buyer seniority, and process or automation pain signals.
Uncover customer needs through consultative questions about workflow bottlenecks, manual processes, and transformation priorities.
Clearly communicate magentIQ's value proposition at a conversational level and identify when deeper technical or commercial discussions should be handed to an Account Executive.
Handle objections professionally and maintain prospect engagement across multi-touch outreach cadences.
Book and confirm qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives and provide a clear, well-documented handoff.
Follow up with registrants and attendees from magentIQ events, mixers, and webinars to convert interest into meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records in HubSpot, including activities, notes, and next steps.
Consistently work toward activity and outcome targets, including meetings booked, qualified opportunities, and sourced pipeline.
Share market intelligence with Marketing and RevOps, including effective messaging, common objections, and competitive signals.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance, remote-first sales culture.

Must-Have Qualifications

Proven B2B outbound experience as an SDR or BDR, ideally within SaaS, technology, consulting, or professional services.
Excellent written and spoken English, with a confident, professional, and credible communication style.
Comfort and confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including VP-level and C-suite decision-makers.
Strong multi-channel prospecting skills across written outreach, social selling, and phone-based prospecting.
Strong research and personalization skills, with the ability to tailor outreach rather than rely on generic templates.
Demonstrated consultative questioning, active listening, and objection-handling skills.
Proficiency with CRM and modern sales tools, with strong discipline around data hygiene and follow-up.
Self-directed, organized, resilient, and target-driven.
Genuine curiosity about AI, automation, and how businesses operate.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience selling into insurance, financial services, manufacturing, or professional services.
Familiarity with HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outbound sequencing platforms such as Smartlead, Outreach, or Salesloft.
Working knowledge of workflow automation, intelligent automation, RPA, or agentic AI.
Experience working in an AI, technology, or consulting environment.
Experience with event or field-marketing follow-up.
Strong AI literacy, including using AI tools for research, personalization, and productivity.
Understanding of ICP qualification and lead-generation best practices.

Reporting Line And Working Pattern

Reports to: Sales Leadership.
Works closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and RevOps.
Remote-first, Philippines-based, aligned with magentIQ's core markets in the US, UK, and Canada.
Performance-based environment with clear KPIs and targets.
