Job Description

As a Hardware Support Tech, you will provide remote technical assistance to pharmacies, troubleshooting computers, printers, networking equipment, interfaces, and other technology essential to their daily operations. The Qualifications We Seek

Education and Experience

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
1 to 5 years of experience in IT systems and installation or application support in a remote IT Help Desk environment
Previous experience in providing technical support in a customer-facing role
Experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting is a plus

Technical Knowledge

Strong technical knowledge of computers, printers, and networking equipment commonly used in small businesses
Knowledge of security best practices related to protecting sensitive healthcare data
Ability to learn quickly and stay up to date on new technologies and products relevant to pharmacy operations

Communication and Customer Service

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users and build positive relationships with pharmacy staff
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all pharmacy staff
Excellent phone communication skills, including a professional and confident speaking tone

Work Management

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to efficiently manage time and multitask

Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace

Your Daily Tasks

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

Respond to help desk tickets and phone calls from pharmacies in a timely manner
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to printers, computers, interfaces, and networking equipment used in pharmacies
Consult with pharmacy staff to optimize technology setup and provide recommendations for improvement
Provide training to pharmacy staff on the use of software applications and hardware devices

Customer Experience and Documentation

Document technical support activities and maintain detailed records of all interactions with pharmacies
Provide superior customer service and ensure a positive experience for all pharmacy staff who interact with the technical support team

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with other technical support team members to resolve complex issues and ensure continuity of service
Identify recurring technical issues and report them while contributing to the development of permanent solutions
Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up to date on technical support best practices and industry trends
