We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Operations Manager – Purchasing to oversee and optimize an Operational Purchasing team within a dynamic, global shared services environment. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end purchasing process — from Purchase Requisition (PR) through to Purchase Order (PO) execution.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and manage the Operational Purchasing team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and productivity.
Provide coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and create professional development opportunities for team members.
Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture built on accountability and continuous improvement.

Operational Oversight

Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations, including PR review and conversion to Purchase Orders.
Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Define, track, and improve KPIs related to operational efficiency and accuracy.
Serve as the primary escalation point for PO discrepancies, vendor communication issues, and internal stakeholder concerns.

Process Optimization

Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance overall purchasing efficiency.
Partner with cross-functional teams — including Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable — to resolve root causes of recurring issues.
Drive automation and technology initiatives to modernize and simplify purchasing operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all purchasing-related inquiries.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve PO-related issues and ensure smooth, timely processing.
Work closely with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.

System Management & Reporting

Maintain deep expertise in ERP systems, ensuring the team fully leverages system capabilities for PO processing.
Provide regular reporting on processing metrics, operational issues, and resolutions to senior management.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all PO-related transactions and records.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience in Operational Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of end-to-end purchasing processes and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Proven experience in process optimization and implementing automation tools.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
