As a Retirement Services Analyst, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring seamless and accurate processing at every stage of Collateral Movement.
The Retirement Services Analyst is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and workflow management within the Retirement Services. This role involves examining the various stages of Collateral Movement to ensure the accuracy and validity of customer instructions and system transactions, in accordance with governing regulations and tax reporting policies.
Job Responsibilities:
Collateral Movement.Ensuring accuracy and validity of customer instructions against the system transaction entries. This includes verification of available funds and other validation requirements in accordance with the governing regulations and tax reporting policies.
Decision Making.Identification of appropriate tagging and code for undefine collaterals based on specified guidelines in accordance with 1099-R or 5498 reporting requirements on retirement accounts.
Customer Service.Collaborate and answer queries from partners, clients and stakeholders in relation to actions done and procedures followed for the retirement accounts.
Escalation Handling. Manage business escalations brought about by errors, mis-information and customer complaints with the aim of mitigating risk while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Process Adherence. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the SOPs and ensure strict adherence. Keep up to date with any changes or updates to the SOPs and ensure compliance.
Risk Management.Identify potential business risk incidents and escalate them promptly and urgently. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate identified risks. Maintain accurate records of all risk incidents and actions taken.
Process Transformation. Continuously evaluate, identify and find opportunities for process improvement and better ways of working. Participate in initiatives aimed at transforming processes to enhance scalability and efficiency. Implement best practices to ensure robust controls management.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Tax form experience, including but not limited to 990T/1099R/5498
Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes
Strong risk and control awareness, ability to effectively priorities workloads and work to critical deadlines
Confident communicator in all mediums to both internal and external clients Able to convey thoughts, ideas, and messages clearly, assertively, and effectively, while actively listening and engaging with others to foster understanding and collaboration.
Strategic thinker, able to review and implement process improvements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of trading platforms and Wealth Management in a plus
