Job Description

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for motorpool operations to align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Lead the planning and execution of maintenance programs to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
  • Drive initiatives for innovation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle and equipment maintenance, repair, and servicing.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage the fleet management system to ensure timely updates and accuracy of data.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands and project timelines.
  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in vehicle engineering and fleet management technologies.
  • Implement new technologies to improve efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Drive research and development initiatives to enhance the company's competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional associations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of motorpool operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, cost management, and project progress to the executive team.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in motorpool or fleet management, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
  • Preferably with international work experience but not required.
  • Deep understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and fleet management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale motorpool operations.
  • Knowledge of the latest vehicle technologies and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Willing to travel locally and internationally.
