Job Description

General Duties

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1,. Uphold and strictly implement he approved SMDC's Specifications for Vertical Transport (Elevators,
Escalators, etc.)
2. Assist the corresponding Engineering Design Manager - Mechanical.
3. Participate on meetings and discussions in identifying potential value engineering and cost saving items prior
to implementation of the projects.
4. Assist the corresponding Engineering Design Manager -Mechanical in the review and evaluation of design
parameters proposed by the external design consultants in relation to vertical transportation. Ensure that all
action items from the evaluation is properly executed and closed.
5. Assists the corresponding Engineering Design Manager - Mechanical in the review of the Vertical Transport
designs and layouts, systems and other related engineering drawings, reports and specifications submitted
by the external design consultants at each stage of the Design Management Stage to ensure adequacy,
accuracy and compliance to applicable codes and legal requirements as specified in the scope of work and
contract agreement. Ensure that all action items from the evaluation is properly executed and closed.
6. Assist the corresponding engineering Design Manager-Mechanical in monitoring the timelines of deliverables
of the external design consultants. Provide necessary action and communication to the external design
consultant whenever attainment of deliverables are compromised.
7. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
7. Conducting site visits, monitoring schedules, and supervising technicians of Elevator Supplier and lnstaller.
2. Offer technical support, and troubleshooting on-site issues of Elevator Works.
3. Ensuring on-site efficiency and safety at all times.
4. Analyzing data, monitoring expenditure, and drafting progress reports.
5. Overseeing equipment testing, maintenance, installation, and planning.
6. Mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, and evaluating environmental impact.
7. Directing staff, contractors, engineers, and other on-site personnel.
8. Meeting with clients and stakeholders.
9. Drafting and submitting reports to superiors and other key individuals.

Professional Eligibility

1. Must be a graduate of Mechanical Engineering or any relevant Engineering Degree from a reputable college
or university
2. Board exam passer with a valid PRC license

Education

1. Must be a graduate of Mechanical Engineering or any relevant Engineering Degree from a reputable college
or university
2. Board exam passer with a valid PRC license

Experience

Preferably with at least fifteen (15) years of extensive work experience as a Vertical Transport Maintenance
Engineer/Manager from a reputable property developer, real estate, contractor or consulting company, and
at least ten (10) years from a Vertical Transport Manufacturer and Supplier.

Responsibility

POSITION TITIE
Transport lnspection Manager

The Elevator lnspection Manager in guidance and with coordination of the Engineerir,lg Oesign Manager - Mechanical
is responsible in the inspection of all vertical transport equipment such as elevator, escalator as follows
. All SMDC Properties installed elevators
. New Elevators for installation
. Regular inspection of all of the above mentioned elevators and othervertical transport equipment
. Submission of complete lnspection Reports

to ensure that all elevators and othertypes of verticaltransport are regularly maintained by other parties such as GPMC,
and to report any necessary maintenance needed or required to avoid any further damage to these equipment. The
results of these said regular inspections should be documented and action items are communicated to stakeholders
and interested parties. The final documentation shall be captured in the project files, and shall form part of quality
assurance documentation.
