Job Overview

ING is looking for a Test Engineer with automation skills. You will work in the regulatory reporting domain of financial markets and will be part of an Agile team. You are a team player and always look for ways on how to improve.

ING needs to comply with different regulations worldwide. One of those regulations is European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). In transaction reporting we are responsible for collecting, enriching, and sending ING's trade details to external Global Trade Repositories to comply to EMIR. All trade details need to be sent complete, accurate and in time. This sounds easy, but there are a lot of aspects that must be validated before Go live. And on top of that, EMIR is not the only regulation, also regulations from UK and different Asian regulations are supported.

Key Responsibilities

We are not looking for test automation engineers, as your tasks will be more diverse. Examples of your tasks are:

• Execute functional tests
• Help and coach your squad to take up testing activities, so everybody can contribute.
• You align with surrounding applications to validate their changes or execute end-to-end tests to validate new products.
• You contribute to the agile way of working and actively look for how we can improve.

Key Capabilities/Experience

• You have at least 3 years experience in testing of back-end systems and you're total testing experience is at least 5 years.
• You're experience with Cucumber (Java implementation) is at least 3 years. - Nice to have
• You have an analytical mindset that will help you understand and test the application.
• You know how to work with Oracle Databases.

Minimum Qualifications (Nice to have)

• You have worked in the financial markets before and know regulations like EMIR or MiFID.
• You have hands-on experience with testing applications based on Oracle, Python, JMS (EMS/MQ), Kafka, Windows Server.
• You have experience with implementation of CI/CD
• You have experience with data management environments, think about data quality, data flows, data consistency and data lineage.
