About the Role

FoodSHAP® is looking for a Technical Sales Executive (Food Safety & Inspection Services) to join our team. This role combines technical knowledge in food safety, biology, and microbiology with consultative sales and client relationship management. You will promote both our Food Safety Training Programs and Food Safety Inspection Services, helping clients understand regulatory requirements, food safety risks, and the appropriate solutions for compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Client Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their food safety systems, operational risks, and regulatory requirements.

Consultative Technical Selling – Present FoodSHAP® training and inspection services by translating technical food safety concepts (e.g., contamination, hygiene risks, microbiological hazards, compliance gaps) into practical business solutions.

Inspection Services Promotion – Recommend appropriate inspection, audit, and assessment services based on client needs and industry standards.

Needs Assessment & Site Understanding – Conduct discussions with clients to evaluate current practices and identify areas where training or inspection intervention is required.

Market & Regulatory Awareness – Stay updated on food safety regulations, industry practices, and emerging microbiological and hygiene risks affecting food businesses.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with the technical inspection team, training team, marketing, and customer service to ensure accurate service delivery and client satisfaction.

Sales Reporting & CRM Management – Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline monitoring, and reporting to management.

Continuous Improvement – Gather client feedback and refine technical sales approaches for better alignment with industry needs.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Hospitality Management, or related science-based fields.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in technical sales, food safety, quality assurance, laboratory, inspection, or related roles.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety principles, hygiene practices, contamination risks, and basic microbiology concepts.

Sales & Communication Skills: Ability to confidently explain technical concepts to non-technical clients and translate them into value-driven solutions.

Client-Focused & Target-Driven: Strong relationship-building skills with a results-oriented mindset.

Project & Account Management: Ability to handle multiple clients, schedules, and technical discussions efficiently.

Willingness to Travel: Open to fieldwork, site visits, and client meetings.
