Job Description

Responsibilities:
Identifies areas for improvement/enhancement on existing systems and on new ones
being developed.
Determines, analyzes, and transforms business requirements to produce design
specifications at the system and programming levels.
Conducts capacity planning and performance tuning on supported applications as
required.
Develops, maintains, unit tests, implements, and documents programs according to
program specifications and Sun Life standards.
Provides post-implementation and production support for systems including analysis of
production problems.
Performs implementation activities such as program promotions, and installation of the
system.
Performs development/update of the Systems Manual.
Provides updates and status reports to the project manager during the course of
development and related support activities.


Skills and Knowledge: College/University Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics,
Business.
3-5 years of working experience in systems analysis, experience in the insurance industry is a
plus.
Minimum two (2) years technical experience as a Systems Analyst and actual experience
in designing and developing web applications/mobile applications using Java SE&EE,
Spring, Hibernate, Jquery, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, Ionic and CSS.
Knowledgeable in Object Oriented Design and development, Structured Systems Analysis
and Design, Relational Database Design, Analytical Database Design, UML Diagrams
(Use Case, Activity, Sequence, etc.).
Proficiency in mobile development Objective-C, XCode, Android Studio, Eclipse,
Unity3d, Cordova, MobileFirst.
Proficiency in databases like Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL.
With knowledge in JSP, Struts, Spring JDBC, Crystal Reports, Oracle PL/SQL, Qlikview
(plus).
With knowledge in version management tool SVN, Serena VM.
Data Conversion / Data Migration experience is a plus.
With experience in Application Design, Effort Estimation, Root Cause Analysis, Code
Bug Fixing, System Enhancement, Prod Support, Code Review and integration,
Development based on standards.
Good experience in SCRUM/Agile Methodology.
Good experience in application build process and deployment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and with ability to work with
challenges.
Service-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and with experience
in a cross-functional team.
With proven commercial web and mobile development experience, driven to new
consumer technology and emerging media landscape.
