Job Description

Guide on the effective use of solutions and architectures in order to achieve business outcomes in alignment with business requirements and the overall Enterprise Architecture. Provide E2E solution architecture design and recommendations to the vendor. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and support delivery outcomes. Collaborate with other Architects for successful delivery of program streams and individual projects

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tech Lead that reports to Section Head, under the ISG / Solution Delivery / Business Enabling Solutions / Business Enabling Portfolio section

  • Serves as the overall Implem Lead to the assigned Domain or overall lead of a program in the domain

  • Supervises Tech teams composing of Solution Architects and Solution Designers that delivers the capabilities and solutions needed to achieve the business outcome

  • Reviews and approves solution plan of its Solution Designers in alignment with the overall solution and roadmap

  • Aligns with App Managers on the capability build for their platforms to ensure alignment with the roadmap

  • Collaborate with other leads in the domain for the delivery and implem strategy

  • Interacts with Product Management and other business groups

  • Presents to stakeholders when needed to explain the technical aspect of an issue or impact to business

  • Collaborate with other Platform Leads for roadmap alignments and delivery of program streams or projects

  • Presents and discuss when needed with other departments in Information Service Group

  • Interacts and handles escalations to the vendors and service providers

  • Facilitates retrospective discussions to identify improvement items for the tech team in the domain

  • Attends and addresses technical issues escalated in the program

  • Leads the whole cutover team during deployment

  • Leads the support teams during stabilization post deployment

  • Attend to escalations for tech issues within the domain and/or capability build for the platforms being delivered by the domain

  • Addresses roadblocks of the Solution Designer and/or System Analyst on the needed build for the platform

  • Provide guidance to resolve issues encountered during development, testing, or deployment

  • Provide updates and do escalations to CIO and OCIO

  • Provide support during program updates with Biz Champs

Work Experience

  • More than 5 years experience on IT and Telco industry

  • At least 3 years experience leading and managing team and vendors

  • Graduate or a Bachelor's degree holder of any IT/Computer related course

Level of Knowledge

  • With leadership and management skills

  • Knowledgeable on SLDC process and Agile delivery

  • Knowledgeable on project management principle and discipline

  • Basic knowledge on telco business and processes

Competency

  • Familiar with cloud infrastructure and architecture (preferably AWS)

  • Familiar with Java/J2EE

  • Familiar with monitoring tools like Splunk and App Dynamics

  • Familiar with UNIX and/or shell scripting

  • Familiar with DevOps practices and concepts
