Balancing Act: Your Mission in Accounting Mastery!

• Demonstrate tax knowledge by preparing tax returns, activity statements, and staying abreast of the latest Australian tax rules
  
• Prepare work papers and reconcile to the financial statement stage
  
• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgments for companies, partnerships, trusts, and a range of individual businesses to a complex level (including large groups, inter-entity reconciliations, etc.)
  
• Assist clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax, and STP
  
• Undertake business advisory projects such as budgets, cash flows, and management reporting
  
• Ensure all documentation, including work papers and client files, is maintained in line with client compliance requirements
  

Qualify for Success: Key Criteria for Number-Crunching Pros!

• Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting
  
• Completion of or working towards completion of CA / CPA
  
• Minimum of 7 years of proven accounting and taxation experience within Australia
  
• Thorough understanding of Australian taxation legislation, including but not limited to GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A
  
• Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills
  
• Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently
  
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks
  
• Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable)
  
• Proficient English writing and verbal skills
  
• Excellent communication skills with strong relationship and stakeholder management abilities
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
  
• Collaborative team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider Findex business
  
• Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics
