About the Team & Business Line:

Citco IT arecurrently lookingto fillasoftwaredeveloperposition to assist with development and maintenance of strategic financial systems. The individual in this position will participate in the development and support of multiple client-facing and internal business systems.

This position reports to the local Team IT Manager. Citco IT is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications. The candidate will interact closely with multiple IT teams and business analysts, as well as QA teams and other technical groups and resources within Citco.

YourRole:

• You will be involved inseniorlevel development and maintenance inProgress OpenEdge, according to development best practices and latest development technologies
• You will be required to design, develop, test and deliver solutions as per business requirements
• You willalsoprovide support for existing internal systems owned by your team
• You willcontributetechnicallyto Citco initiatives around automation and tech modernization

About You:

• 5+ years of IT experience in design and development of enterprise applications, databases and web applications across Linux and Windows
• Programming experience inProgressOpenEdge
  • Version 11+
  • GUI and Webspeed interfaces
  • Classic or PAS Appserver
• Experience as Progress DBA
  • OE Database Admin Skills (Probkup, prorest, after-imaging, proutiletc)
  • OE Replication plus
  • OE Management (Fathom)
  • Transparent Data Encryption

• Integrations using IBM MQ, Rest APIs, Webservices
• Source control procedures and systems (Git)
• Understanding of the importance and adherence to coding standards and consistency
• Good knowledge in performance tuning of database queries to improve theirperformance
• Experience in debugging functionaland technical issues in a fast-paced environment
• Aptitude to identify where improvements can be made around business and technical flows, refine your suggestions and implement them
• Ability to lead projects on your own initiative, e.g Progress upgrades, deployments etc
• Familiarity of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN)
• Familiarity of build and deployment automation tools such as Bamboo, Octopus, Jenkins
• Understanding of technical, functional and non-functional requirements documentation
• Possessexcellent documentation and communication skills and must be able to presentdesign,diagnostic, troubleshooting steps and conclusions to a varied audience
• Willing to do application support, development and maintenance depending on needs
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment with a positive attitude
• Highly desirable would be experience in Javascript, React, Node, Python, AWS, application deployments, test automation, Jira, Confluenceetc
