About the Role
We are seeking aSenior Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) Applications DBAwith proven experience in upgrading Oracle ERP from version 12.1.x to 12.2.x (ideally 12.2.13). This role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle EBS architecture, ADOP (online patching), cloning, and post-upgrade maintenance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with system administrators, DBAs, and application teams to ensure a smooth upgrade and stable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the upgrade of Oracle EBS from 12.1.x to 12.2.x.
- Perform cloning, backup/recovery, schema refresh, and PITR.
- Administer Oracle databases (12c to 19c) including Data Guard setup and performance tuning.
- Manage storage, user roles, and permissions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance across environments (dev, test, UAT, prod).
- Apply patches and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle APEX.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using Ansible or shell scripting.
- Coordinate with internal teams and Oracle Support for issue resolution.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS 12.2 architecture and ADOP.
- Experience in cloning, patching, and troubleshooting Oracle Applications.
- Proficiency in Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuning.
- Skilled in SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, and SQL Developer.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Preferred:
- Experience with Oracle on Azure VMs.
- Exposure to MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and IT compliance standards.
Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of Oracle DBA experience, with at least 3 years in EBS 12.2 BAU support.
- Functional knowledge of Oracle HR and Financial modules.
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to work across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
