Job Description

As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for orchestrating audit engagements with precision and foresight. This entails identifying risks, devising the audit strategy, negotiating fees, and coordinating schedules to ensure optimal efficiency. Your role will also involve meticulously addressing any feedback from Managers and Partners, ensuring timely resolution of all review points.

Schedule: Day shift Mon - Fri 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Clients

• Proactively communicate with clients, developing a detailed understanding of their business to identify how our client can best meet their needs.
  
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing clients and contacts.
  

Operations & Compliance

• Plan audit engagements by identifying risks, determining audit strategy, agreeing on timetables, scheduling employees, and negotiating fees.
  
• Clear all Manager and Partner review points in a timely manner.
  
• Complete jobs effectively by meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and informing the Engagement Manager and Partners of any variances.
  
• Ensure all audit files align with the client Audit Methodology.
  
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to comply with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements.
  

Business Growth

• Identify opportunities to expand the scope of work for existing clients within the firm.
  
• Participate in external industry and business activities to raise the client profile and attract new clients.
  

People Leadership

• Provide coaching and support to develop team members capabilities.
  
• Delegate tasks and set clear goals for team members to achieve.
  
• Review team members work to ensure proper auditing and accounting standards are applied.
  
• Lead by example, offering positive leadership to team members.
  

Requirements

Add Up the Skills That Count

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, depending on specialization.
  
• 4+ years experience in External Audit (preferably w/ AU experience)
  
• Progress towards or completion of CA, CPA, and/or CISA (or equivalent) is desirable.
  
• Practical Experience
  
• Preferably w/ experience in CaseWare
  
• Proven experience in adhering to established processes and procedures.
  
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve common outcomes or goals.
