The Role Breakdown: Where Numbers Meet Success

Crunch the Numbers, Shape the Future

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for clients
  
• Compile complete and accurate workpapers and checklists
  
• Maintain complete and accurate daily timesheets
  
• Research tax technical issues and apply findings to clients circumstances
  
• Review ASIC company annual statements and documents
  
• Prepare BAS/IAS and review PAYG installments
  
• Identify client business and tax issues prepare advice and communicate with clients
  
• Complete work in a timely and efficient manner
  
• Communicate with clients via telephone and face-to-face meetings
  
• Liaise with ATO and ASIC on client matters
  
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact
  
• Stay updated on technical changes through in-house staff training
  
• Perform other duties as directed by Directors and Managers
  

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table: Skills that Count

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, or an accounting-related degree in business, commerce, or a similar field
  
• Currently undertaking or planning to pursue CA/CPA qualification (preferred)
  
• 3+ years of relevant experience required
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of income tax fundamentals
  
• Knowledge of common income tax, capital gains tax, and GST issues for individuals, companies, partnerships, superannuation funds, and trusts
  
• Familiarity with common FBT issues for businesses
  
• Understanding of corporate secretarial requirements for private companies
  
• General understanding of business operations
  
• Knowledge of tax issues related to superannuation funds

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise correspondence and advice for clients
  
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with staff, clients, and external contacts

• Reliable, accurate, and efficient, with the ability to complete tasks on time

• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web browsers like Internet Explorer and Google Chrome
