Your Role:
As a
Senior Accountant (AU), you will:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes for Australian entities.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and fixed asset accounting, demonstrating strong exposure to reconciliations.
- Manage the general ledger, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
- Prepare BAS, payroll tax, and FBT working papers for review by the Australian CFO.
- Support project cost reviews, Work-In-Progress (WIP), and margin analysis.
- Maintain internal control processes and ensure audit readiness.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
- 7-10 years experience in accounting or audit, including 3+ years in a senior accounting role.
- Strong exposure with Reconciliation.
- Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP system.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it).
- Strong understanding of AASB/IFRS and Australian compliance concepts (GST/BAS).
Preferred skills/expertise- Prior experience supporting Australian or international clients.
- Prior experience within an Engineering, Construction, or Industrial firm
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, variance analysis).
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills across time zones.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, reliable, proactive, and self-driven working style.
