Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC) under the General Ledger division. This role is integral in supporting our General Ledger operations, supervising Junior Accountants, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison with Business Unit (BU) Finance teams and CFO regarding General Ledger matters.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supplementary schedules.
• Lead month-end closing activities, including intercompany accounts coordination and variance resolution.
• Review accounting transactions and recommend procedural and system improvements for efficiency.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including tax books.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Junior Accountants, including overseeing training, performance reviews, and team development.
• Support continuous improvement projects and ensure compliance with internal controls, ICSP/SOX, and EH&S safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• Minimum of 5 years of audit and/or financial accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in a structured, multinational, or shared services environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team.
