About the Team & Business Line:

Citco IT arecurrently lookingto fillasoftwaredeveloperposition to assist with development and maintenance of strategic financial systems. The individual in this position will participate in the development and support of multiple client-facing and internal business systems.

This position reports to the local Team IT Manager. Citco IT is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications. The candidate will interact closely with multiple IT teams and business analysts, as well as QA teams and other technical groups and resources within Citco.

YourRole:

This position is with the CITCO IT Operations Release Management Team that is responsible for the delivery of our flagship applications to Citco managed hedge funds worldwide. The ideal candidate will coordinate deploying multiple versions of software patches/upgrades to our various internal and external clients. This includes applying continual process improvement towards the planning, communication, execution, verification, post mortem review and documentation tasks necessary to successfully complete the required release.

This position reports to the Release Manager and communicates heavily with internal and external teams, managers and leads to implement the release process.

  • Receive and provide guidance as necessary to complete deployments by working closely with multiple groups - including internal clients, Business Analysts, Development, QA, Connectivity, Program Management, IT and Business area management.
  • Update established deployment documentation and procedures accordingly based on the particular software version changes + deployment post mortem/lessons learned
  • Work with various internal groups to schedule external client deployments and maintain the inevitable changes via the upgrade/ patch release calendar
  • Comply with Change Management guidelines and utilize USD ticketing system to ensure that QA/Production environment integrity is maintained
  • Execute automated reports in a timely manner and escalate any issues, as delivery of the reports for internal client signoff is a prerequisite to the actual production deployment
  • Manage the distribution of installation/update instructions and release notes to all clients
  • Actively participate in Release Management group meetings/discussions
  • Ability to work with guidance from more senior team members

About You:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred, such as Computer Science
  • 1-2 years of Release Management, Associate Project Management, Computer Operations or Call Center experience
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL principles, procedures and techniques is beneficial
  • Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and fund services technology/principles (or similar financial discipline) is beneficial
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to effectively work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to meet time demands without compromising quality
  • Demonstrated skills in working with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as being detail oriented
  • Can do attitude with strong work ethic to get the job done, regardless of circumstances
