ARQ is expanding its origination reach into the Visayas and Mindanao markets. The Relationship Manager (Business Development Officer) role is responsible for building and managing a pipeline of SME borrowers and institutional referral partners across these regions. You will operate independently on the ground, reporting directly to senior leadership, with a clear mandate to develop a self-sustaining deal flow engine in your coverage area. Strong performers carry a direct path to expanded national coverage responsibility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identify, engage, and qualify SME borrowers across Visayas and Mindanao
- Build and maintain a referral network — accountants, lawyers, chambers, trade associations, and bank officers
- Conduct initial borrower screening and pre-underwriting conversations
- Manage a live pipeline tracker with weekly reporting to leadership
- Represent ARQ at regional industry events and partner meetings
- Coordinate deal handoffs and borrower documentation with the investment team
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- 3–6 years in business development, account management, or SME lending
- Preferrably with experience in financial institutions, i.e. banking
- Based in or with strong active networks across Visayas and/or Mindanao
- Demonstrated track record meeting pipeline or origination targets
- Comfortable discussing credit facilities and financial requirements with business owners
- Self-managed — full ownership of coverage area with no daily supervision
- Fluency in Cebuano, Bisaya, or relevant regional languages preferred
