Job Description

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Assistant will support the Quality and Compliance team with quality and compliance administration. Areas of responsibilities will include administration of compliance requirements, registrations, and certifications for products within the consumer electronics industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Product inspection reports
    - Pre-production assessment (PPA) - Create specification template in i-Auditor when PPA are required for third party inspectors to follow.
    - Monitor inspection report schedule and receival of all reports, pre-production assessment (PPA) and final-production assessment (FPA).
    - Review reports then liaise with team and third-party factories on the outcome.
    - Follow up with third-party factories where rework has been required before release.
    - Release products with factories and within the system once final approval has been given by all internal parties.
    - File reports.
  • External SharePoint
    - Manage external SharePoint, ensure artwork specifications are up to date and correct to upcoming inspection reports. Monitor and confirm that third party inspection company are uploading all relevant photos and videos for recent inspections for our reference while checking reports.
  • Product component test reports
    - Review reports and respond or action appropriately. File reports.
    - Declaration of Conformity documents
    - Compile declaration listings with all test reports to prove products are compliant.
  • Manage compliance documents
    - Upload all documents to item profiles within the ERP product and document management system.
  • Any other tasks as required within the scope of the role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Graduate degree - suitable tertiary qualification such as Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills. Mandarin is highly desired
  • Product knowledge - an understanding of compliance requirements for products and knowledge or experience with consumer electronic or electrical products
  • Collaboration - Ability to influence outcomes through excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills both verbal and written
  • Planning and coordination capabilities - Ability to plan, coordinate and manage the execution of allocated projects and plans to consistently deliver according to agreed requirements
