QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking for Quality Assurance Automation Engineerto join our well-established global development team.

About You

You're an innovative and inquisitive tester who is interested in quality assurance on highly dynamic websites and web apps. You can help automate test cases for execution in pipelines and have a good attitude about learning. You love a challenge and you work well with other team members including developers, product managers and other quality assurance professionals. We will provide you with ample training and support from your Technical Leader but we do need you to be a motivated and independent worker.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement automated testing strategies, frameworks, and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications using Javascript based tooling.
• Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to identify test scenarios, requirements, and acceptance criteria for automation.
• Designing, code, and integrate execution of automated test scripts using appropriate tools and technologies, such as Cypress and Artillery.IO
• Analyze test results, identifying defects, and working closely with developers to isolate, reproduce, and track issues.
• Participate in the overall test planning and test case design activities, ensuring that automated tests are properly integrated into the testing process.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure that automated tests align with the overall project goals.
• Collaborate with team members to establish and improve automation best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automated testing and quality assurance.
• Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and scripts to ensure they remain efficient, reliable, and up to date
• Provide accurate and timely status reports on test automation progress, test coverage, and identified issues.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies, including agile and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in API testing and knowledge of tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Work schedule: Monday to Friday - 4 pm to 1 am
