Persons hired for the Product Costing and Inventory Valuation Specialist position will be responsible for providing both costing services and Inventory accounting to 3M subsidiaries in APAC.
Product Costing and Inventory Valuation Specialist responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Daily costing back-up for both S2K and SAP countries.
- ITSM Triage, ticket handling, and QA.
- Analyze and investigate PCE complex tickets and requests.
- Assist analysts on KF errors clean-up.
- Perform the monthly re-costing activities and assist on seeking GPL approval for consolidated monthly re-costing for APAC (SAP).
- Perform and assist on S2K CHK MEC, as needed.
- Lead Annual Costing exercise for APAC in collaboration with the other GSC Product Owners, Local team, and GPL.
- Monitor and drive annual costing activity completion, review of Purchased Finished Goods, resolve KF errors, and coordinate with different stakeholders.
- Prepare SOX documentation and ensure compliance required for the Annual costing activities.
- Assist Team Lead on ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of costing activities (daily, monthly re-costing, ITSM, eForms, and annual activities.
- Act as an SME or go-to person in the team for process related questions and troubleshooting. This includes first level of escalation to resolve process related issues and supporting the operations as back-up when needed.
- Provide guidance to the team for any process changes.
- Drive process alignment, simplification, and standardization.
- Review and sign-off SOPs and ensure related process documents are updated.
- Conduct trainings to the team to continuously keep the team up to date with the process and increase capability. This includes but not limited to systems, process, GFS Policy refresher and onboarding of new hires.
- Play a key role for transition projects from 3M subsidiaries and support SAP deployment as Super User. This includes but not limited to solution showcase, peer to peer process sharing, costing approval, testing and clean-up of data, training end-users, cut-over and post go-live support.
- Provide the Consolidated SLA / KPI inputs to Quality and Process Team and other stakeholders.
- Parking of Inventory journals during month-end closing.
- Help in others Inventory tasks such as reviewing SOX, Blackline Recon, Reports, and Journal Entries, as needed.
- Attend and actively participate in GSC Connect calls with GPL.
Basic Qualifications:
- Accounting degree and working experience in Finance and Accounting area. Solid financial accounting and internal control knowledge are required Minimum 5-year experience.
- Costing and Inventory accounting experience is required Minimum 3 years of experience. Knowledge for standard costing is highly considered.
- Working knowledge of SAP minimum 3 years.
- Experience in Shared Service Center for multi-national corporation is preferred 3 years of experience.
- CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Apps (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
