Job Description

Position : Post Production Specialist

Location: Remote

Department: Creative / Production

Reports To: Director

Employment Type: Part Time

Role Overview:

Responsible for managing the end-to-end post-production process from video editing and color grading to audio mixing and final output delivery. You will coordinate with editors, motion graphic designers, and creative leads to ensure every project is delivered on time, on brand, and at the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Post-Production Oversight

  • Manage the entire post-production pipeline for video projects including commercials, explainers, social media videos, branded content, and internal videos.
  • Supervise editing, motion graphics, sound design, color grading, and final delivery.
  • Review edits and provide clear, constructive feedback to ensure creative and technical quality.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead a team of video editors, colorists, motion designers, and sound engineers (in-house or freelance).
  • Assign resources and manage timelines based on project priorities and delivery deadlines.
  • Facilitate communication between pre-production, production, and post-production teams.

Quality Control

  • Ensure consistency in branding, tone, storytelling, and visual style across all deliverables.
  • Maintain high standards for technical aspects including resolution, frame rates, codecs, and platform-specific formats.
  • Conduct final QC checks before client delivery.

Workflow & Asset Management

  • Streamline post-production workflows and improve efficiency across tools and team members.
  • Organize and manage digital assets, raw footage, project files, and archives.
  • Ensure version control and safe backup of all assets.

Client Collaboration

  • Work closely with account managers or directly with clients for revisions, feedback, and approvals.
  • Interpret client briefs and translate them into executable post-production plans.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction and timely delivery.

Technology & Innovation

  • Stay updated with industry trends, editing techniques, and emerging tools.
  • Recommend and implement new software/plugins/workflows to improve output and productivity.
  • Ensure all systems and tools (editing suites, render farms, etc.) are functioning optimally.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in post-production.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition), DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, color spaces, and delivery specifications for web, social media, and broadcast.
  • Familiarity with sound mixing, motion graphics, and VFX workflows.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a passion for creative storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience working with global clients, especially in Australia or other international markets.
  • Knowledge of asset management systems or cloud collaboration tools (Frame.io, Wipster, Dropbox, etc.).
