Job Purpose

The Operator Technician SST (Single-Skilled Technician) will operate and monitors all machinery and equipment in the facilities area to make sure that all parameters, pressures, temperatures, voltage, frequency, etc. are within requires running condition.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for operation, maintenance and repair, overhaul, process safety, and improvements.

  • Monitors all storage-fuel and water tanks at the right level for sufficient and continuous operation.
  • Prepare Daily Accomplishment Report at the end of the shift.
  • Performs Preventive/Corrective Maintenance activities.
  • Responds to immediate repairs and troubleshoot electro - mechanical problems, which arises during production in this specified area of responsibility.
  • Adjusts/Tune-ups machinery to attain proper, accurate and lengthy operation.
  • Follows company rules and regulations, standard operating procedures (SOP) strictly and do housekeeping before and after working for a clean and safer working area.
  • Monitors and provides servicing of all Air compressors, Boilers, ACU's, AHU's, dehumidifiers, refrigeration units, chillers, Cooling towers, Water system, wastewater treatment sytem.
  • Performs Corrective/Preventive Maintenance activities of all equipment in his specified area of responsibility.
  • Troubleshoots electro-mechanical problems, which arises during production in his designated area.
  • Tests newly rewound motors, locally fabricated parts and replacement parts from accredited suppliers and provide feedback verbally or in the form of formal report on findings the soonest time possible.
  • Performs Breakdown Analysis as necessary during major breakdown.
  • Repairs and troubleshoots electrical and electronic module controllers.
  • Teach and share knowledge to operators to increase their competency in the operations and maintenance using One Point Lessons or training materials whenever necessary.
  • Performs other functions as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
  • Works in staggered rest day schedule to ensure support during maintenance execution on opportunity period.
  • Keep herself/himself up-to-date on the latest technology trend and maintenance techniques as part of his/her Competency building.
  • Ensures compliance to established ISO / HACCP /FSMS.
  • Ensures that the GMP standard and set specifications are being met to attain good quality product.

Experiences and Qualifications

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control disciplines or any related Engineering course
  • Core Engineering Skills and manufacturing work experience of at least 2 years in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation and Control discipline
  • Experience of working as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector
  • Experience as a team member within a Project Management team with an awareness of project management tools and techniques
  • Strong coaching and communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills
